Biography:
Yonghwi Kwon is an assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering with an appointment in the University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies.
His research focuses on building secure computer systems by understanding both their functionality and potential vulnerabilities. Kwon advocates for a proactive approach, actively seeking out weaknesses and analyzing attacks to strengthen defenses. His work involves practical and fundamental solutions, including simulating and virtualizing systems to test their security under extreme conditions.
